Returning your core long block
There’s a couple of different ways.
1. Strap the engine to the original pallet it was delivered on and pay the same shipping price back to us. We have seen Bungee cords, tie downs, wire and just sitting there with a box around it (not recommended). Reassemble the box with drywall screws, nails, staples or just get creative. You must drain out the oil and wrap the engine in visqueen or a trash bag so it doesn’t leak.
2. There’s a cheaper way to return your engine core, but it will require a little effort on your part. Disassemble the entire engine and ship it back in multiple cardboard boxes. They send the boxes through USPS. Many customers say it only costs about $100–200 — that’s cheap compared to freight. Take extra caution when splitting the case halves, and don’t gouge the case.
